God in Quietness

Today a lot of us find no shame in helping others and realizing the willingness to share from the Bible, our rescure. There are times when the quiteness of our everyday actions speak loudly, revealing our love for God along with what he has done in the lives of many. In our desire to share with a broken world, let us not ignore the power of our silent witness. Witness for God with your life as well as well as your lips.

How it's Suppose to Be

While deep in any addiction we fail to realize what we take others; yet, others are blind to see how they affect us. If I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, God will help me restore. When God reminds us about items or the pains we have caused, maybe even wronged others, we can honor him by making it right. Help me, dear God, to be honest and true. Give me the courage to do what is right to bring the world a glimpse of your love. A debt is never to old to pay, first to GOD then to ourselves.

Words of Kindness

Sometimes we don't know what to say. As sinners we do not need judgement, a lecture, or some smart ass-comment from people, what we are asking for is a reason to keep hoping. God give me the sensitivity not to presume guilt, but to show kindness... Remembering our lost friends or friends that are in pain. Let what we say not be a lecture, but bring hope and strength to those who are in need.

God is There Through the Storm

As time goes by, we try to remove the names that we have given ourselves such as addicts. Then we ask ourselves "Was God sadistically absent in our lives." When we try to blame God for permitting disasters that rip us from our families, friends, and loved ones, we fail to realize that God is with the suffering and dying. People take us into their homes thru prayer along with some financial help when a heartbreaking tragedy occurs. We get no satisfactory answer to life's painful problems. Even though suffering baffles our mind, we can trust God to be near and work out His purposes no matter what we go thru. The storms of our lives prove the strength of our Anchor.

Mercy of God

God calls us to live righteously, and again we all fall short of that! Despite our lack of our faith, we begin to pray for God to end our captivity from addiction or what weakens you. No one stands as tall as those on their knees asking God for mercy and help.

Use your Words Wisely

The consequences of misleading statements are serious. Some people who take words out of context just want to gain attention or win an agurment. (We know a lot of those). But, others are more sick. They twist the truth to gain power over others. They not only endanger lives but also souls. We need to know that God wants us to use him as the resource of truth, not the manipulation of others.

Healing

When a tragedy leaves us with a void that nothing can fill (for me that void was filled with addiction). For years those moments were encased in sadness; feelings were frozen. The only comfort was numbness. Relief was unmanageable. Death forms a view of life and God. The world we grow up in has little or no concept of grace. Joy had no basis of reality. If you give yourself the time to heal, don't be afraid to feel even if it is for the 1st time in your life. God loves you.
